So the New England Patriots keep Tom Brady on the injury report for like 6 consecutive seasons. He wins 3 superbowls and a ton of games all while injured - allegedly. I think this is another one of coach Bill's manipulations of NFL rules and policies. Right up there with sending guys around with camcorders around their necks.
The Patriots are a good team with a lot of good guys on the roster, I just don't like Bellechek. He is smug and arrogant when he doesn't need to be. That team does not need to cheat to win.
Anyhow, back to the issue. So they take Brady off the injury report and BAM - he gets whacked with a knee injury. I guess they won't do that again. When Brady comes back (and he will) he will be on the injury report for the rest of his career. Coach Bill is weird that way - superstitious I guess. Nobody seems to get away with this kind of thing, but he has found a way.

Party Politics Isn't Working
Having seen both major parties' national conventions, I am now more convinced than ever that our two party system is badly broken. Both parties identify the issues, but neither offer any solutions. They are both trying to out do the other by seeing who can run the best smak on the other. That's okay on the football field, but in Washington? - I think not.
The democrats go after McCain as an old Washington insider or a crony. So they put Biden in as their VP candidate. Who is Biden? An old Washington insider or a crony with little to show for his 36 years in the senate. The Republicans attack the dems for Obama's lack of experience so they go out and get Palin for VP? Who??
How much longer are Americans going to vote for the "lesser of two evils" I have been hearing this since the elections 0f 1992. This mentality is going to catch up with us if it hasn't already.
Take a look at a third party and think seriously about voting for that party. Rather than viewing that vote as a waste, how about looking at that vote as a vote that will actually bring about the change that so many Americans say they want. The Liberatarian party with Bob Barr is a pretty good place to start.
There are entirely too many voters who vote Rep or Dem no matter what. We will never see the change we say we want until we elect someone from a third party. That will get the attention of both major parties and bring them back to the negotiating table. They will have no choice but to work together at that point.
Gone are the days where you have bi partisan legislation. There is way too much mud slinging and trying to out trashtalk the other for anything constructive to ever happen in Washington.
If you are truly fed up - do something at the ballot box - I dare you.
